Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) more popularly known as her professionally-known surname Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter of Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist affiliated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. On the 21st of October, 2016 Pho was released by her, her debut EP for the label Dreamville Records. The album was released when she first gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her first album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the internet in 2012, when she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014, she released further music online including Bound. In the year 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, performing the track "Sweat It Out" on July 21. Later that year her music was circulating around the Dreamville group as J. Cole wanted her to collaborate with him for some references for Rihanna. She was officially signed with Dreamville Records on 8 December. She was featured on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. On the 21st of October in 2016, she released her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change in 2017 and also as an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. She was also featured on the tracks Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus together with Bas, her labelmates. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The album's first single, Whipped Cream, from the album came out in September 5th, 2018, accompanied by a an accompanying music video. She dropped her follow-up single for Grampa on November 9. Then on November 13 two singles that were titled"No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, the 26th of February in 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby made an appearance together with Cole as part of Creed II's sound track. Creed II sound track on November 16. A music video came out on the 20th of February to go along with the track. Within a week, it was viewed more than 3,000,000 times. She was a supporting act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour along with 6LACK.
